Sign Up for a School Profile
Choose your role. The Main Administrator creates and controls the school's account; Assistant Administrators help manage specific parts like sport rosters.
Main Administrator
Creates & controls the school account
You're the primary person who controls your institution's account on DirectNIL. You create the school profile, oversee everything, and can run revenue sharing across all rosters.
- Create the school's DirectNIL account
- Full control over all rosters and administrators
- Manage revenue sharing on every sport
- Approve athletes and assistant administrators
- Configure budgets, approval chains, and sport caps
Best for: Athletic Directors, Compliance Officers, or the person who will own the school's DirectNIL account.
Assistant Administrator
Helps manage specific rosters
This is meant for people who are joining an existing school on DirectNIL who are meant to handle a certain task or roster. Your school must already be on DirectNIL, and the Main Administrator approves your request.
- Join an existing school already on DirectNIL
- Help manage assigned sport rosters
- Propose revenue-sharing arrangements (if permitted)
- Subject to Main Administrator approval
- Scoped to the sports the Main Admin assigns you
Best for: Assistant coaches, sport-specific coordinators, or staff supporting a school already on DirectNIL.
Not sure which one you are? If your school doesn't have a DirectNIL account yet, you're the Main Administrator. If your school is already set up and you're joining the team, you're an Assistant Administrator — your Main Administrator will need to approve your request.
